This morning before school I had left early to arrive at 8:22 AM. This was vital to the success of my plan to work on my AP Calculus test corrections before class.
Just 6 stops away from Lincoln High School though, my life turned into a living hell. As two double long busses were trying to turn the same tight corner, mine went up on the curb, hit a stop sign, and scraped the side. At the moment, nothing seemed off, but after we all spent 4 minutes waiting at the next stop things took a turn for the worse. The driver suddenly took the role of a strong social leader and told us all in a calming manner that he had to call his supervisor and we should take the next bus.
After that, the next bus (carrying my good friend Jonah) skipped us entirely due to crowding and we thought we were stranded.
Luckily, the big cheese, the King County Metro Supervisor, arrived in a decadent, majestic vehicle to handle the situation and the next 62 arrived just 4 minutes later (8 minutes after the catastrophe)
If this ever happens to you, my advice is to walk backward a stop so you can claim a good seat before others get to it.
